Most people see the Orange Country just as a place where you can have fun on a beautiful beach or visit a theme park, but if you want to dig a little deeper, you will find a lot of other treasures.  However, the top tourist attraction remains the Disneyland Resort, with its breathtaking rides, enticing games and thrilling shows.  Considered by many as the happiest place on earth, Disneyland offers plenty of fun activities for every member of the family.  After the fun of the amusement’s park, tourists should pay a visit to the oldest Spanish mission in California, Mission San Juan Capistrano.  The Mission was built in 1776 and still preserves some of its original buildings and the remains of others.  The site has a rich museum collection that narrates the history of the mission and hostess multiple cultural and art activities.  In order to gain a different prospective of the Orange County, take a boat ride to the Catalina Island and enjoy its hospitality.  Here you will be received happily by the local community and will be given the opportunity to relax in a carefree atmosphere, enjoy the ocean, play golf, or simply shop.
On the shores of the Orange County during the summer months come to feed the blue whales and the noisy California Sea Lions.  The Dana Point Harbor gives you the perfect view of this magnificent spectacle and also houses the Ocean Institute, where visitors can see hundreds of marine animals in aquariums and touch tanks.  The institute organizes fun ocean-themed exhibits, animal feedings, sightseeing cruises and hikes.  For outdoor enthusiasts the Orange County has to offer the Crystal Cove State Park, which offers not only a wide variety of landscapes for physical activity but a selection of lookout points for sightseeing as well.  During the summer time’s Festival of Arts, visitors can witness the Pageant of Masters, which recreates some of the world’s most famous paintings.  And if, however, the theme parks are what you've come for, Disneyland, Disney California Adventure and Knott's Berry Farm are located within 30 minutes of each other, and Knott's Soak City water park opens during the summer for an added thrill.
